26 October 2026 – One Aged Care (“OAC”), a senior healthcare services group established earlier this year, today announced the acquisition of Active Global Caregivers (“Active Global”), a provider of professional home and community-based care services in Singapore and Hong Kong. The acquisition expands OAC’s capabilities through broadening the range of care solutions available to seniors and their families.

One Aged Care was established in March 2026 by leading global alternative asset management firm TPG. It brings together three established businesses, ECON Healthcare, Orange Valley Nursing Homes and Ambulance Medical Service (AMS), under a unified holding structure. OAC aims to build a regional care platform that provides a unified continuum of care to meet the evolving needs of an ageing population.

Active Global’s home and community care capabilities complement OAC’s existing services across nursing homes, senior day care, rehabilitation, emergency medical support and transport. The addition strengthens OAC’s continuum of care, providing more connected care for the seniors, families, and the communities it serves.

Richard Seow, Chairman of One Aged Care said, “The acquisition of Active Global advances our vision of building a truly regional healthcare platform that supports seniors and their families with a broader range of care options. Active Global brings valuable experience in home and community care, and we look forward to working with its team to build on the trusted services it provides. With TPG’s support, we will continue to invest thoughtfully in quality, accessibility and continuity of care across Singapore, Hong Kong and the broader region.”

Ms. Ong Hui Ming, Group CEO of One Aged Care said: “At One Aged Care, our purpose is to advance the quality of care and truly honour life. We are building a regional platform that brings together the most trusted brands with deep expertise to support seniors at every stage of their journey, and Active Global strengthens an important part of this care continuum. Their expertise in home and community care perfectly complements our existing capabilities across residential nursing care, rehabilitation and medical transport, enabling us to provide a more seamless, connected experience, where our seniors receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.”

Steven Chiu, Group CEO of Active Global said, “Joining One Aged Care is a natural and exciting next step for Active Global. Our mission has always been to make professional home care accessible and affordable. As part of the OAC group, we will have additional resources to strengthen our services while remaining focused on the people who rely on us. We look forward to continuing to support the seniors we currently serve and to extending quality care to more people over time.”

Since its establishment in March, One Aged Care has begun bringing together the strengths and capabilities of its businesses around a shared commitment to quality care. Today, OAC is one of the region’s largest senior care platforms, with 15 nursing home facilities and more than 2,400 beds across Singapore and Malaysia. It also operates a fleet of more than 50 ambulances and medical transport vehicles and has collectively served more than 220,000 seniors across its portfolio brands.

Preparations are underway to open four additional nursing homes in the year ahead, increasing total capacity to more than 3,800 beds. Beyond expanding capacity, OAC will continue to strengthen capabilities across the care continuum, leveraging expertise and shared capabilities across its platform to innovate and enhance its models of care and service. As OAC grows, its focus remains on building a strong and sustainable aged care platform that can respond to the evolving needs of the ageing populations.

“Demand for healthcare services and long-term care is growing, and we are considering how best to expand our capabilities responsibly,” added Ms. Ong Hui Ming. “With One Aged Care, we have a greater opportunity to advance care excellence, innovate and shape the next chapter of integrated care. Ultimately, we want to make better care and a fuller life an everyday reality for seniors, supporting their dignity, purpose and wellbeing as they age.”

One Aged Care is preparing for an exciting year ahead. Three new nursing homes are planned to open in 2027: Orange Valley Nursing Home – Anchorvale, Orange Valley Nursing Home – Bidadari and ECON Care Residence, Jurong East.

Preparing Our Homes for Residents

Our care and operations teams have been visiting the sites and reviewing mock-up spaces. These visits allow our teams to experience the environments first-hand and consider how each space can support residents, families and care staff.

The layout of a care environment shapes residents’ daily experiences. A well-planned space can support comfort, dignity and meaningful engagement. By involving our teams early, we can also consider practical needs and prepare for future operations.

Working Together on Operational Readiness

Alongside the site reviews, we have begun our operational readiness journey with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). This early collaboration helps our teams align plans and prepare for the homes’ opening.

We value the partnership with AIC and the MOHH Infrastructure Team. Their collaboration supports our work to prepare the new homes for operations.

Building Connections with the Community

As the three homes take shape, we look forward to becoming part of their surrounding communities. We aim to build strong relationships with residents, families, community partners and neighbours.

Our goal is to create welcoming environments where seniors can live with dignity, comfort and a good quality of life. We also want to foster a sense of belonging and connection within each community.

The preparations mark an important step in One Aged Care’s growth. As we work towards the planned openings in 2027, we remain focused on creating care environments that support seniors and their families.

In August 2026, colleagues, residents and seniors across One Aged Care came together to celebrate Singapore’s 61st National Day, sharing in the spirit of togetherness, community and national pride.

For many of the seniors in our care and communities, Singapore’s journey is closely intertwined with their own. Their memories and experiences reflect the country’s growth and transformation over the decades, offering valuable reminders of the people and stories that have helped shape the Singapore we know today.

National Day also provides an opportunity to celebrate the importance of belonging and connection. Across One Aged Care’s care communities, we remain committed to creating meaningful opportunities for seniors to connect with others, participate in shared experiences and maintain a sense of belonging in the communities they call home.

As we reflect on the celebrations, we are reminded that a strong community is built through shared experiences, meaningful relationships and care for one another. These values continue to guide us in supporting seniors to live with dignity, purpose and connection throughout the year.

Majulah Singapura!

25 August 2026 – One Aged Care Senior Advisor and ECON Healthcare Founder Mr Ong Chu Poh was featured in Lianhe Zaobao in a report examining the operational challenges facing Singapore’s nursing home sector, particularly smaller operators navigating rising regulatory requirements and resource constraints.

Drawing on his experience in the aged care sector, Mr Ong shared perspectives on the factors that contribute to the sustainability of nursing home operations, including management capabilities, operational models and the effective use of resources.

Mr Ong founded ECON Healthcare in 1987, starting with 17 beds and five employees. Over the years, the organisation grew into an established aged care provider operating in Singapore and Malaysia. His experience reflects the importance of having a clear operating philosophy and the management capabilities to support the delivery of care as an organisation grows.

In the article, Mr Ong noted that larger operators generally have greater resources to support day-to-day operations and meet regulatory requirements. He also highlighted the potential advantages of smaller nursing homes, including their more homelike environments and closer relationships between residents and care teams.

He suggested that smaller operators could explore ways to strengthen their operations, such as upgrading facilities, adopting more distinctive service approaches and collaborating on procurement to manage costs. Maintaining clinical standards while preserving the personal connections that make care meaningful remains important across different operating models.

The feature highlights the varied challenges facing nursing home operators in Singapore and the importance of sustainable operating models in supporting quality care for seniors.

ECON Healthcare celebrated International Nurses’ Day in 2026 with its nursing and care teams across its centres in Puchong and Taman Perling, Malaysia, recognising the dedication and contributions of those who play an important role in caring for residents and supporting their families.

The celebrations provided an opportunity to appreciate the compassion, professionalism and resilience demonstrated by our nursing and care teams in their daily work. From attending to residents’ care needs to providing reassurance, companionship and emotional support, their contributions help make a meaningful difference in residents’ everyday lives.

At One Aged Care, we believe that quality care goes beyond clinical expertise. It is also reflected in the patience, empathy and personal attention shown to each resident. These everyday interactions help residents feel valued, respected and supported, while giving families greater confidence in the care their loved ones receive.

Delivering quality care is also a collective effort. While nurses and care teams are at the forefront of supporting residents, the contributions of colleagues across other functions are equally important in maintaining safe, nurturing and supportive care environments. Every team plays a part in creating a positive experience for residents and their families.

As One Aged Care continues to grow across the region, our people remain central to our shared purpose of advancing the health and quality of life of seniors and their families. Recognising occasions such as International Nurses’ Day is an important reminder to appreciate the people behind the care and the difference they make every day.

We remain committed to supporting our nursing and care teams, fostering a culture of appreciation and working together to deliver care that truly matters.

Colleagues from ECON Healthcare and Orange Valley Nursing Homes came together at One Aged Care’s Care & Service Transformation Retreat to explore opportunities to strengthen care delivery and improve experiences and outcomes for seniors and their families.

Bringing together perspectives from across disciplines, the retreat provided an opportunity to take a more holistic view of care and consider how different aspects of support can work together to meet the evolving needs of seniors. Discussions spanned clinical care and rehabilitation, psychosocial well-being, meaningful engagement and social connection — recognising that each plays an important role in supporting overall quality of life.

Quality care extends beyond clinical outcomes. It is also about helping seniors maintain their function and independence, remain connected to the people and activities that matter to them, and experience dignity, purpose and a sense of belonging. By considering these different dimensions of care together, we can continue to explore ways to make care more personalised, meaningful and responsive to individual needs.

As One Aged Care continues to grow, the combined capabilities, experience and expertise across our organisation present opportunities to strengthen collaboration across disciplines and care settings. Through shared learning and the exchange of ideas, our teams can identify opportunities to better connect services, refine existing approaches and explore new ways of supporting seniors and their families.

Care and service transformation is an ongoing journey. It requires continuous learning, a willingness to challenge established practices and a commitment to translating ideas into meaningful improvements in everyday care.

Through initiatives such as this retreat, One Aged Care continues to bring colleagues together around a shared ambition: to deliver more connected, holistic and person-centred care, with the well-being and quality of life of seniors and their families at the heart of what we do.

One Aged Care welcomed a delegation from the Québec Association of Residences for Seniors (RQRA) during their study mission to Singapore for an exchange of perspectives on the evolving aged care landscape in Singapore and Québec.

The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on how aged care providers across different markets can support seniors in living with dignity, independence and a better quality of life, while learning from one another’s experiences and approaches to care.

At One Aged Care, we believe that people are at the heart of aged care. Beyond clinical care, meaningful engagement, social connection and genuine human relationships play an important role in helping residents feel valued, respected and at home. Creating these experiences requires an understanding of seniors’ individual needs and the things that contribute to their sense of belonging and well-being.

Engagements such as this offer valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, gain fresh perspectives and consider how care can continue to evolve in response to the needs of seniors and their families. Through continued dialogue and cross-border learning, aged care providers can strengthen their collective understanding of what meaningful, person-centred care looks like in practice.

Lianhe Zaobao explores how nursing homes can evolve beyond traditional models to support seniors’ medical, emotional and social wellbeing, while helping them remain connected to the communities around them.

5 April 2026 – As Singapore prepares for the needs of a super-aged society, a Lianhe Zaobao report highlighted calls for nursing homes to provide more than clinical care, with greater emphasis on residents’ quality of life, community participation and sense of meaning.

Healthcare experts interviewed for the article noted that as seniors live longer with frailty, dementia and increasingly complex health conditions, closer collaboration between nursing homes and hospitals will become increasingly important. Stronger coordination could help residents receive the care they need while reducing the need for frequent trips to hospital.

The article also highlighted the importance of designing nursing homes as part of everyday community life. Experts suggested creating more opportunities for residents to interact with surrounding neighbourhoods, participate in community activities and maintain meaningful roles and relationships as they age.

A more home-like and liveable environment was another key theme. Rather than viewing nursing homes solely as care institutions, the report called for environments that incorporate greenery, spaces for leisure and opportunities for social connection, helping residents continue to experience familiarity, autonomy and belonging.

These perspectives resonate with One Aged Care’s belief that quality aged care should honour the whole person. Beyond addressing health and care needs, good care should support dignity, connection and meaningful everyday living — while enabling seniors to remain connected to their families and communities.

As care needs continue to evolve, OAC remains committed to advancing more integrated and human-centred models of care across the ageing journey.

Lianhe Zaobao highlighted One Aged Care’s upcoming nursing homes as part of Singapore’s efforts to expand long-term care capacity and bring care closer to communities.

5 April 2026 – One Aged Care (OAC) was featured in Lianhe Zaobao in a report on Singapore’s plans to develop new nursing homes across 18 locations to meet growing long-term care needs as the country’s population ages.

The report highlighted three upcoming nursing homes under One Aged Care: Orange Valley Nursing Home at Anchorvale, with 225 beds; Orange Valley Nursing Home at Bidadari, with 298 beds; and ECON Healthcare’s new nursing home at Jurong East, with 732 beds.

Orange Valley’s Bidadari nursing home will be co-located with the Bidadari Polyclinic, while ECON Healthcare’s Jurong East nursing home will be developed alongside the redeveloped Jurong Polyclinic. This co-location creates opportunities for closer integration between residential aged care and primary healthcare services.

Speaking to Lianhe Zaobao, Ms Ong Hui Ming, Group Chief Executive Officer of One Aged Care, highlighted how the design and location of the Bidadari development can support both health and quality of life:

“Co-locating the nursing home with a polyclinic, coupled with Bidadari’s concept as a ‘community in a garden’, will allow residents to benefit not only from more seamless healthcare services, but also from an environment that supports their physical and mental wellbeing. As the town continues to develop, residents can remain active, included and closely connected to the surrounding community.”

For One Aged Care, the development of these new homes is part of a broader commitment to strengthen care capacity while creating environments where seniors remain connected to healthcare, their communities and everyday life.

As Singapore prepares for increasingly complex care needs, OAC will continue to work towards more integrated models of care that bring together healthcare access, quality residential care and meaningful community connection.

Bringing together established care providers to strengthen care across the ageing journey

Singapore, 17 March 2026 – One Aged Care (OAC), a regional senior healthcare services group headquartered in Singapore, was established to bring together ECON Healthcare, Orange Valley Nursing Homes and Ambulance Medical Service (AMS) under a unified group.

Operating across Singapore and Malaysia, One Aged Care brings together complementary capabilities spanning community and residential aged care, emergency ambulance services and medical transportation. ECON Healthcare, Orange Valley and AMS will continue to operate under their respective brands, while benefiting from shared capabilities, standards and expertise across the Group.

The establishment of One Aged Care reflects a shared ambition to advance more integrated, scalable and outcomes-focused models of care as ageing populations and increasingly complex care needs reshape the region’s healthcare landscape.

At launch, the Group comprises 16 nursing home facilities with more than 2,400 beds across Singapore and Malaysia, alongside emergency ambulance and medical transport services. By bringing these capabilities together, One Aged Care aims to strengthen coordination across the care journey, share best practices and resources, and expand access to quality care and value-added services.

Building stronger connections across the care journey

One Aged Care is focused on building the connections that enable care to work better together — through aligned clinical standards, quality frameworks, shared capabilities and continued investment in service innovation and people development.

The Group’s ambition is to strengthen continuity of care while preserving the established identities, expertise and strengths of each of its operating brands.

Ms Ong Hui Ming has been appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of One Aged Care, bringing 20 years of experience in the aged care sector. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer of ECON Healthcare Group. Mr Ong Chu Poh, founder of ECON Healthcare, will serve as Senior Advisor to One Aged Care.

“I am humbled and honored to take on this role,” said Ms. Ong Hui Ming, Group CEO of One Aged Care. “One Aged Care provides a strengthened foundation to support the continued growth of ECON Healthcare, Orange Valley and AMS as established care service providers.

By aligning clinical standards, quality frameworks and shared capabilities at the group level, we can enhance continuity of care and scale best practices across the community and the aged care continuum – while preserving the identity and strengths of each brand.

The establishment of One Aged Care also comes at a time when demographic ageing is accelerating, and care needs are becoming increasingly complex. The sector must continue to evolve towards sustainable and scalable models that deliver meaningful outcomes. My leadership team and I are committed to advancing integrated and comprehensive care that supports families across their care journey.”

Preparing for the needs of an ageing region

The launch of One Aged Care comes as demographic ageing continues to accelerate across the region. In Singapore, approximately 21% of the resident population is aged 65 and above in 2026, with demand for nursing home and community-based care continuing to grow alongside longer life expectancy and evolving care needs.

One Aged Care seeks to contribute to this evolving landscape by building a strong and sustainable care platform with the scale, expertise and governance to support long-term investment in quality, innovation and workforce development.

Richard Seow, Chairman of One Aged Care said,

“One Aged Care brings together established providers under a unified platform with the governance, expertise, and scale to support long-term investment in quality care. As the sector continues to evolve, growing demand must be met by providers who can protect this quality through strong oversight, clear standards and a deep sense of responsibility to the families and communities we serve.

Under the leadership of Hui Ming, and in partnership with TPG, our ambition is to build a trusted group that upholds dignity and compassion, while strengthening care delivery across the region.”

One Aged Care was established by TPG through its mid-market growth fund in Asia. TPG will work alongside the Group’s leadership as One Aged Care pursues disciplined growth and continues to build its capabilities across the region.
